The Ask:
Introduce ME Energy—a German startup building off-grid, mobile electric vehicle chargers—to a U.S. market unfamiliar with the tech and skeptical of anything not named Tesla.
The Challenge:
ME Energy doesn’t require a plug. That’s its superpower. But “mobile, off-grid charging” wasn’t just new—it was confusing. In a category that promises clean, seamless, futuristic solutions, we needed to simplify the science and spark some swagger.
What We Did:
We leaned into ME Energy’s independence. No plug? No problem. Our strategy framed the brand as the rebel of EV charging—self-sufficient, go-anywhere, and unchained from the grid.
We built the platform “Don't Get Unplugged”, positioning ME Energy as the only brand that doesn’t wait on outdated infrastructure to make EV adoption possible. Through brand voice, campaign messaging, and launch assets, we made energy feel mobile, personal, and powerful.
We even prototyped an app experience, allowing users to track, request, or locate mobile chargers—extending the “freedom” beyond marketing and into UX.
Where It Worked:
The campaign brought emotion to engineering. It turned a technical advantage into a cultural one—and gave ME Energy a distinct tone in a sea of sleek, serious EV players. The result? A brand that didn’t just power vehicles—it powered a shift in perspective.
