Flipgrid: Bringing Classrooms Back Together

Seattle, WA

The Ask:

Help Flipgrid reintroduce itself to teachers as schools reopened after COVID. Make it more than a tech tool—make it a trusted ally.

The Challenge:

After a year of remote learning, classrooms were finally reopening—but teachers were returning exhausted, overwhelmed, and unsure of which digital tools still had a place. Flipgrid, a video discussion board built for connection, had potential. But teachers didn’t need another shiny platform. They needed something that worked—and someone they could trust.

What We Did:

We went straight to the source: teachers. Our insight? Teachers trust teachers. Not marketing. Not admin. Not tech companies. So we built a campaign that handed the mic to educators themselves.

Our strategy, “Flip Spotlight Stories,” invited teachers to tell their stories—how they used Flipgrid not just to teach, but to reconnect with students, rebuild classroom culture, and reignite engagement. We launched a storytelling series, social-first content, and toolkits that let teachers be the voice and the proof.

Every video, every share, every testimonial made Flipgrid feel more human, less high-tech—and rooted in real-world classroom wins.

Where It Worked:

The campaign rebuilt trust through empathy and experience. By spotlighting teacher voices, Flipgrid became something teachers saw people like them using. Not top-down. Peer-to-peer. The way trust actually spreads in education.

The Impact:

From a pandemic-era tool to a post-pandemic ally.

From platform to partner.

And a story told the only way teachers believe it—by other teachers.
